BailiTeal Farm Retreat Center near Canton is a weekend crafters paradise. Located on a 20-acre idyllic site just one hour from the Metroplex, we invite you to experience the East Texas of yesteryear with a unique blend of country ambiance and contemporary comfort. Weekend accommodations are in three separate houses with meals served in the elegant dining room of the Main House. With the crafts building separate from the guesthouses, participants are able to work into the night without disturbing other guests. The Gathering was built specifically to provide the ideal work area for scrapbookers and quilters with optimal overhead lighting and adequate table space (6 foot per person). To enjoy our own peaceful atmosphere guests may relax by the swimming pool, fish from the pier of our stocked pond or take the walking path through fields and woodlands to enjoy a variety of wildlife, birds and seasonal wildflowers. A massage therapist is also available on request.

Since constructing our East Texas crafts building in 2003, built to crafters specifications, we have enjoyed hosting a variety of crafting groups:

• Scrapbookers
• Quilters
• Stamping and paper crafts groups
• Kitting, embroidery, and crocheting enthusiasts
• Writers
• Jewelry makers
• Painters and sculptors

Most of our business is repeat and we have reservations for craft groups into 2012, so we feel that we are providing the right atmosphere and facilities for crafters of every interest.

Since we are located near craft stores in the E. TX towns of Canton, Edgewood and Wills Point, scrapbookers, paper crafters and quilters can easily supplement their supplies while attending a crafting retreat with us.

We host crafts groups from 5 to 22 generally organized by single consultant, however individuals can contact us for information on upcoming craft retreats.

Located only an hour from the Metroplex, BailiTeal Farm Retreat Center is close enough for you to avoid a long, tiring drive and yet far enough away from Dallas traffic for guests to experience a restful weekend getaway. You will still be amazed at how much crafting you will be able to do – progress on a quilt or pages of your vacation or family scrapbook in our well illuminated crafts building.

One of the most appreciated conveniences of a crafts retreat is being able to get up from a meal and not have to clean up or wash dishes. The unique pleasure of an East Texas crafts retreat at Bailiteal is being able to sit down to a gourmet meal in an elegant dining room apart from the crafts building where you can leave your crafting project spread out undisturbed.
